but the operators have not.  not sure why not.  much may be historical.
much is because we have sooooo many text-based tools available to us, and we
don't have to pay someone for them.  aside from emacs, diff, cvs, lex/yacc,
etc, folk even post snippets of configs to ops mailing lists and argue about
them.

the names of the no-cli vendors are engraved in our memories.  has to be
in our memories, as none of them are with us today.  that was a hint.
