Nor do I. SNMP works great for a number of tasks including statistics
collection. I'm not anti-SNMP by any means, but a number of tasks
are done with Expect, assumably because they could not be reasonably
done using SNMP. I am anti-Expect.

XNM can replace Expect with performance and durability comparable
to SNMP. The sweet spot is certainly configuration but there are
a number of other areas were Expect is traditionally used (software
upgrade/downgrade).
