Hi all,
Sometime in the next day the next NERD draft will be posted. Here is a
summary of the changes:
- Explicit reference to the address family identifier, as specified
by IANA
- Procedures for processing IPv6 AFIs (address compression)
- Full specification of the cert/sig block
- A rework of the analysis with the following assumption changes:
- Compressed IPv6 addresses (avg = 64 bits)
- Average number of RLOCs is reduced from 8 to 4.
- An appendix that provides an example of how to sign and validate
the signature.
With these changes, NERD is fully specified. I solicit your comments
on the draft as well as test implementations.
