Since IPv4 and IPv6 are so similar, the same problems will occur in
both, and the same solution (in terms of the basic design and
engineering) will work for both.

you are certainly right that IPv4 and IPv6 are architecturally the
same. But that doesn't necessarily mean that RRG's IPv4 and IPv6
solutions will be the same also. Since many details in IPv4 and
IPv6 are different, so are the sets of "tools" you have available for
designing IPv4 vs. IPv6 solutions. This may make separate solutions
for both IP versions preferable.
The above is part of the reasoning why, in previous emails, I
suggested that RRG should allow for separate IPv4/IPv6 solutions.
