Sure it does.

Once you have separated the end point from how you get to the end point, you have much greater flexibility in re-architecting the "getting to the end point" part. Regardless of whether LISP is the exact solution used in the long term, the fact that you have moved from something that you yourself have explained in great detail (back in 1996) is not scalable to something that will allow arbitrary scaling will reduce costs in the long term.

That is unless you've figured out how to flat route 128 bits...
