Re: multi6-functional-dec and re-homing

Thierry,

In multi6, we were discussing site multihoming, so most of the
discussions assumed, but did not require, single interface at a time.
For the current discussion, I'm not sure how multiple interfaces being
active in the same time would affect anything. In fact, I think that a
shim6 solution should work in either case.

I think some of us have deployment models where multiple interfaces may
be active at the same time; however I think the failure detection /
rehoming selection should be applied to single interface at time,
otherwise the detection algoritms will be fart too complicated.

John

Speaking about multiple IPv6 interefaces, do we mean "multiple
interfaces active (i.e usable) simultaneously", or "one at a time" ?

Sorry if this is obvious for people participating to this discussion.

Thierry.
