Re: Material from the Friday SHIM6 WG Meeting

thanks for the minutes,
Just a comment. the minutes state that:

3. HBA update

[Marcelo Bagnulo, presented by Geoff Huston]

o The -01 version of the document references the 3484 proposals and CGA extensions as normative, so they will be lock-stepped in the publication process.

The hba document does not includes the update to RFC3484 as a normative reference.
The hba document does includes two drafts as normative references:
[6] Bagnulo, M. and J. Arkko, "Cryptographically Generated Addresses
        (CGA) Extension Field Format", draft-bagnulo-shim6-cga-ext-02
        (work in progress), October 2005.

[7] Nordmark, E., "Level 3 multihoming shim protocol",
draft-ietf-shim6-proto-01 (work in progress), October 2005.

The first one is needed in order to have a consistent format in the cga extensions The second one, i included mostly to be sure that everything runs smoothly between the shim protocol and the hba mechanisms, so that they move together

With these fancy new tools at the IETF we can now post interim material to the IETF and revise it in place. So rather than circulate the minutes, collect comments and then submit a final version to the IETF Secretariat, this way we can post the initial draft of the minutes and make revisions in situ if needed.

The material for IETF64 is at https://datatracker.ietf.org/public/meeting_materials.cgi? meeting_num=64

You'll find the reference SHIM6 in the Internet area of that web page of course, and the minutes at http://www3.ietf.org/proceedings/05nov/minutes/shim6.html

If you have any comments on the minutes, please send them to this mailing list please.

thanks,
