i don't think we should try to solve the problem of an arbitrary
user/service on a pure v6 site/host trying to communicate with a
user/service on a pure v4 site/host or vice versa.
I agree with this.

We need to focus on the scenarios that are most likely to occur
in the next few years, as IPv6 is added to the existing IPv4
infrastructure.

In this immediate future, most networks/hosts will continue to have
some IPv4 connectivity, often using NAT.  IPv6-only hosts are likely to
be limited to special-purpose devices that only need to reach specialized
IPv6 services.  We so need to support IPv6-only services, but it isn't
necessary for IPv4-only nodes to be able to participate.

So, there shouldn't be a need for direct IPv4-only <-> IPv6-only
communication.
