Fair enough. I'll make that change in the -08 revision.
I agree with Barbara that second sentence of R41 is not appropriate.
What would be the possible replacement for the MUST, if that is
taken as compromise approach?
I think it should suffice to delete the second sentence from R41
entirely. It would then read as follows:
R41: Gateways SHOULD implement a protocol to permit applications to
solicit inbound traffic without advance knowledge of the addresses
of
exterior nodes with which they expect to communicate.
