The syntax for archive folder lines in .folders is:

  $path;type

The "zip" type indicates that the mail is in elmo-archive.zip in the
archive directory. So I think you want:

  $imap4;zip

which means that /elmo-archive-folder-path/imap4/elmo-archive.zip
contains the messages.
