wl and davmail

Hi,
I'm trying to connect to davmail, which connects to an exchange server
for me. I know my connection settings are correct as connecting works
fine in thunderbird. WL however, fails to connect.

This is what i see in the davmail server log

It appears to me that WL is sending a command that is encoded in a way
that davmail is not understanding. Any ideas on how to try to debug
this issue?
