Google Mail recent Issue

Hi folks,

as Google does not support the recent Flag for new mail, is there a
way Wanderlust can keep track which one is new? Or do I have to use
something like offlineimap?

I remember vaguely that this issue has been discussed before, but
could not find anything?!?
