I'll add my $0.02 that things feel a bit sluggish since updating to
Emacs 24.  I also use Archlinux, however, and their Wanderlust package
is pulled from a git repo, so the actual bits are more recent than
indicated by the start up splash screen.  The packager labels by
package date, e.g. 20120827-1.  Looking a bit deeper, it seems that is
based on git pull:

git-svn-id: file:///srv/svn-community@75568, for whatever that may be worth...


No clue about where to look.
