Re: Looking Ahead to Vienna... and beyond.



Agree with Tony's suggestion that we spend some time on IPR. I'd
like to make a stronger suggestion, if we do - that we all set a
good example for the rest of the IETF by "reading the drafts
before the meeting" and "discussing issues face-to-face".

The IPR working group has three current drafts, including a nice
draft with anecdotal history about some previous situations
working groups have had to deal
with(http://www.ietf.org/internet-drafts/draft-ietf-ipr-wg-guidelines-02.txt}.


IPR is a critical issue at IETF, and keeps popping up in the
most unlikely working groups (last week, in PILC,
fercryinoutloud!). We have the opportunity to have a
high-bandwidth discussion in Vienna - let's not spend
face-to-face time presenting the current drafts, right?
