Re: draft-sun-handle-* & draft-irtf-idrm-handle-system

(Sorry, moved IESG mailing list mailbox to an "old" area of the mailboxes...so 7 email have ended up there not found until now... I am VERY sorry)

So, according to the tracker, the successor documents that Bob Braden's note
referenced earlier are on my plate after the transition. Looking
through the history here, it looks like Patrik had consulted with Michael
Mealling and Leslie Daigle on these documents, and had come
to the conclusion that they needed an IESG Note. Here is the
text of the note he proposed:

IESG Note:

IETF have discussed the Handle system in the realm of URI related
working groups. IESG want to point out that there is not IETF consensus
on the current design of the Handle system, and where it fits in the
IETF architecture. IESG is of the view that that the Handle system
should be able to, with very small changes, fit in the IETF
architecture as a URN namespace.
I've cc'ed Patrik on this note to see if this summary is incorrect.
Based on my review of that set of exchanges, I would suggest that
we move forward with publication with that (or a very similar) IESG note.
Before I put it on the ballot, though, I noted that there didn't seem to
be a similar note on the _other_ version of these docs, and so I
want to ask if there are objections out there to taking this way forward.
Please let me know if you do,
This is 100% correct summary.
