"SRV" isn't an abbreviation, it's the name of a DNS RR type.  The
right answer might be to rephrase the sentence that first uses "SRV"
to be clearer about this.

Side note: I made the mistake of trying to figure out what "existing
SRV procedures" meant, and ran into trouble trying to bind normative
reference [2] -- draft name not given, draft title not listed in
1id-index.txt, draft title similar to about 75 current drafts.  I
eventually concluded that this is a reference to RFC 3261, published a
year ago, except that the relevant discussion was actually split out
to a separate document which was published as RFC 3263, also a year
ago.  Gaak!
