incoming fire from GGF.....

just a heads-up:
we (IESG) are likely to be asked to meet with the Global Grid Forum Steering Group in either the Minneapolis or Seoul timeframes.

the possible answers are:
- yes
- no
- the following N people will meet with you

no need to address the question now. It's a heads-up.
And as you can see from the date of the mail, it's not urgent - I discovered that the IAB had been talking about it, and approving the liaison, but leaving the meeting request for later, in August.

Hi Leslie,

I believe we've got to a reasonable point with the GGF.

- nominate two individuals to undertake liaison activity as described.
It seems that the GGF could nominate Cees deLaat and, as an informal
suggestion, Brian Carpenter might well be the right person to kick
it off from our side (I haven't had any communications with Brian
on this of course, as its the IAB's call)

In addition, there's the suggestion:...

It is probably worth also having a IESG / GGF Steering group meeting on a
pre-IETF Sunday on an irregular basis, but no more frequently
than annual to obtain a detailed overriew of activities in the IETF
and the GGF.
