that's a whole other question - we need to get our act together and say 
something to the nomcom about our expectations of this year's candidates. 
We haven't done that - we've just handed over the names.

Suggestion: we create a description, and ask the Nomcom chair to make it 
public on the nomcom's web pages when we send it to them.
