Leonard Cohen: "The Only Tourist in Havana"
Perhaps best known for his regular and lively commentary on the CBC, Professor Nadel has published books and articles on a diverse range of subjects including Ezra Pound, James Joyce, Gertrude Stein and George Orwell, as well as Victorian poetry and novels, and Jewish writers of North America. He has recently completed a biography of Leonard Cohen, and his lecture with slides and videos will highlight Cohen's 1961 trip to Cuba as an example of the unusual life of Canada's leading poet/singer.
