I don't know... according to the request logs on our aroot.psg.com
(alias mbone-cern.switch.ch), WhatsUp-Gold asks for the PTR record of
1.0.0.127.in-addr.arpa.  Because the name server isn't configured as
authoritative any zone including that name, it will return an empty
answer.  Maybe this makes WhatsUp-Gold think the server doesn't work.

Obviously these things are not entirely straightforward to monitor
(but what is?).
