I did ping people about this recently. The summary appears to be that one or
more members of the IAB (with John Klensin in the lead) will be working with
us on getting the charter/direction issues resolved. They chose to focus on
OPES first, but believe they can now take up CDI.

[We could be annoyed that CDI gets attention later, or glad that CDI seems
less in need of help. I prefer the latter reading. ;-)]

Thanks for your close reading of the draft, I'll respond to your other
