Re: text format of configurations
Hi,
On a similar theme, I would like the configuration language to be
documented with a complete grammar and semantic definitions. Each
version of the software for a device should have an updated grammar
defined.
Without this, the task of maintaining automated tools is much harder.
Features of the config language tend to come and go without notice.
If this language could be the same for all devices that would be
a big step forward but I think this is unlikely as vendors will
innovate in "enterprise" areas and true standardization will be
slow.
