Would this allow for separate solutions for IPv4 and IPv6?  RRG
shouldn't force itself to handle IPv4 with the same protocol that
handles IPv6 IMO.

I would strongly prefer a solution that can handle the EID/RLOC pairs of v6/v6, v6/v4, and v4/v6. If it also handles v4/v4 as a side effect, that may be useful or it may not.
