Correction, there are devices that support IPv6. I expect there to be 
more in the future.

IPv6 being turned on in the operator networks is another matter, however 
-- very similar to consumer ISP situation on wired side.

The statistics on actual number of data capable phones are a bit hard to 
come by last time I checked. But I think we might already have 2 billion 
IP capable phones, the turnover rate in phones is very high so most 
devices are new. Though not every user is necessarily launching apps 
that use IP. And most people that do wouldn't have applications that are 
always on, yet at least.

Anyway, now back to your regularly scheduled discussion of attempting to 
fix routing and the Internet architecture...
