OK, I'll try wl-beta next. Building my own will have to wait quite some time, unless I can have some assurance of a painless build process... Build glitches might be manageable for one package, but now we're talking about four :)

My first attempt to install wanderlust started at the gohome site, where it said I could get the newest version from that domain's FTP site. But, the FTP address ftp://ftp.gohome.org/wl/ requires authentication and there's no indication on the website of the credentials to use. I imagine that might discourage potential users.

So I looked on one of the mirrors and that version was 2.14.0, incompatible with the installed FLIM. So then I went with the non-beta wl package.

Maybe gohome.org is far out of date? It seems development has shifted to git but the site says to use cvs.

Thanks for the version clarification --
