  • SL is fortunate to have a performance of this quality. It was great to see a performance where the actions were not choreographed with software. This is "real" theater!

    Gee (geejann.blackadder), 05/26/2019, Circus Morphus

  • I am a hoofer...That performance was layered and real. You should be proud!

    ???, 08/26/2018 Princess Hyacinth

  • Hey there, congrats for this great performance. that was very impressive and beyond my humble expectations.

    Fabulowsky Capalini, 04/25/2018 Avatara

  • I only want to say that is a very important theme to bring to a ballet to inspire a reflection about our double reality. because you bring the avatar condition to stage - mainly thinking about dance and the physical body absence here and put both bodies face to face. its fabulous. A very creative and original conception for Virtual world language and very, very well succeeded.

    Janjii Rugani, 04/25/2018 Avatara

  • each Ballet Pixelle Production its a magical surprise for us

    liv Xaris, 04/25/2018 Avatara

  • How do they do that? The timing of the magic in the last scene to each crash of cymbals was perfect. The appearance of the tree, then the nutcracker and then the transformation were almost exactly as the cymbals crashed! Perfect choreography. That was an inspiring performance.

    Melinda Nyn, 12/18/2016 The Nut

  • The ONLY thing wrong with these songs is that they’re too short :) You were all fantastic!!

    Scotty Pinelli, 11/1/2014 Immortal Waltz

  • It's moving, and it makes me want to move. Is it bad that i don't want to go because the music wil end?

sweet Coeur - 11/1/2014 Immortal Waltz

  • I enjoyed your performance tonight....it was surreal, visually stimulating, dark, deep and beautiful! Another reason to be in awe of SL, to experience this performance tonight...and that from an ancient avatar :)

  • It was a rare treat to catch a performance of the Ballet Pixelle's "The Nut" this evening, not only because I haven't seen it for a couple of years but also because I was able to bring along some old, if not slightly dubious friends to experience something new in SL. The concensus between us however was undeniably clear; that this group of talented and creative individuals have created and honed to perfection something within SL which ought not actually to be achievable. The technical constraints of putting on a choreographed show in SL has always been the achilles heel of producing anything which relies on synchronised set-piece animations to music -- especially to Tchaikovsky's classical music score. But Ballet Pixelle have managed to pull off an almost seamless masterpiece here. The set designs and implementation are as true to form as anything I have seen realworld. They are exquisite and convey the same aesthetic as that found anywhere around the best west-end Shaftsbury Avenue theatres! The choreography is wonderfully true to form and very impressive. The timing is always going to be one or two bars off, but that's SL in a nutcracker... i mean nutshell! All of the participants have made their cues and adorn the stage as gracefully as any professional dancer in their opulent costumes. It really is a wonderful sight to behold. As a retired dancer, having danced the roles of Clara in my formative years and then later as Dr. Stahlbaum's wife, I certainly appreciate the intricacies and demands of performing such long set pieces. To replicate this in a virtual environment, with all of the potential pitfalls and difficulties that SL can bring is a creative and technical tour de force for which Inarra, her production team and performers should be eminently commended! • I attended your opening night performance of En Passant and wanted to thank you for an interesting look at life vs. machine played out on a chessboard. I blogged about your show and hope it will be as successful as your anticipate.

  • Congratulations, I liked the work, continue on the track, a hug to all of ballet, much respect for those who choose the difficult path of making art in SL, thanks for giving us this (my english is bad but I wanted to tell them)

    Sheda Dava

  • Its kind of cool .. you make people smile.. its a gift!

Quote from an appreciative audience member at "The Nut" (2013)

  • Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I mean that you made me cry tonight and that doesn't happen that often in SL I cried because you made me want to dance with you and you made me miss dancing what with recuperating and it was wonderful and heavenly and you made my heart soar like it does when I am on stage so thank you. I mean that, it means everything to me.

An audience quote from our "Broadway Cares" performance

  • Happy New Year and congrats on another fabulous Nut! It is fantastic. Really one of the best things in SL. Thank you again and please pass on my congrats to all the cast. Totally fab!

  • I had the pleasure of attending Ballet Pixelle's production of "The Nut" yesterday and I just wanted to drop you a quick note to say thank you! The show was a feast for the eyes and senses. I had never attended a virtual ballet but now, I look forward to the coming season! Thank you again for your brilliant choreography and artistic abilities. A true treat!

    Gloria Silverstone

  • Hi! What a lovely show :) You must have rehearsed a lot. It is fun performing - especially all the team work coming together.

Medora Chevalier - 12/28/2011 The Nut

  • Thank you for sending me the landmark, I really enjoyed watching the performance. I can imagine this is a very complex thing to plan and arrange.

Soundsmith Kamachi - 12/28/2011 The Nut

  • They rehearse long hours and I was impressed with the dancers' coordination...the choreography was good...Inarra and her cast were so amazing...what they do is not just pressing a button and it plays. These are people who are actually spending real hours together, even though they are all over the world, to make these works in this virtual world and people are coming to attend their performances. What they do is not pressing a button and the thing just plays. There is lighting, there are effects and it is happening all over (the world). Their Nutcracker is charming.
