Re: Unicode Public Review Issues update

ASIDE:

I have heard, but have not had time to confirm myself,
that the Unicode normalisation scheme (hence also our NamePrep for IDN)
does not correctly handle the case of Vietnamese Quoc Ngu.

It would be nice if we could find someone to confirm that.
I know what to look for, but I do not currently have the time to
locate, obtain, and study the relevant specs from ISO, Unicode,
or IETF. My guess is that virtually any IETF participant who
is Vietnamese could figure this out (or at least could do after
I told them what to look for).

review item regarding tailoring of normalization. Please see issue number

Instructions for discussion and submision of formal comments are provided
on that page. The closing date for review comments is February 28, 2003
(2003-02-28).

Also, the review period for issues 1, 4, 5, and 6 is quickly approaching,
and these items are expected to be discussed at the next UTC meeting March
4-7 2003.
