Welcome to the IESG!
Ted, Russ and Jon:
Welcome to the IESG!
You probably have some idea of what you're in for - but I'm certain you
will all have your share of surprises in the weeks and months ahead. We all
want to help you come up to speed as soon as possible, and I think I speak
for all of us when we say that we're very much at your disposal (both
individually and as a group) for any and all questions you might have.
If everything has worked correctly, you should by now have:
- Access to (and the URL of) the IESG internal web page
- Access to the I-D tracker (internal version)
- Access to see the Secretariat trouble ticket system
You should also be members of the IESG mailing list - we'll take the rest
of the details as we go along.
One thing of urgency now is actually to schedule the IESG retreat - the
tradition is that we have a 2-day retreat every spring, as soon as possible
after the new members have joined. The purpose is to allow us to go through
how we work, what we do and what we need to take care of for the coming
year. It's also a nice chance to get to know each other better!
If you (and all the continuing IESG members and liaisons!) can send me (not
the list) your list of available dates between the March IETF meeting and
July 1, I'll try to figure out what the least bad timeframe for the meeting
is.
Again - welcome to the IESG!
