Will Technology Save Us or Doom Us?

Dr. Raduchel is a strategic advisor and director of several companies in the tech sector. He formerly was chairman of Opera Software, Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of AOL Time Warner and chief strategy officer of Sun Microsystems. He is a member of the Conference of Business Economists and served twelve years on the STEP Board of the National Academy of Sciences (where he was the chair of the Committee on Copyright and Innovation in the Digital Era) and is in his second round of service on the National Advisory Board for the Salvation Army. He has fifteen issued patents. After attending Michigan Technological University, which gave him an honorary D.B.A. in 2002, Dr. Raduchel received his B.A. in economics from Michigan State University in 1966 and earned his A.M. (1968) and Ph.D. (1972) degrees in economics at Harvard where he was Assistant Dean of Admissions and Financial Aid.
