No, this was the old notation of backqoutes: (,@ ssl-program-arguments) [old] ,@ssl-program-aruments [new] So you have to remove the parentheses, too. Just take a look at the function I've pasted. And it's not just the "(@,", but also the backtick ( "(` (" vs. "´(" ). The *Messages* buffer tells us, that there are still old style backquotes: > Loading `ssl': old-style backquotes detected! If the old style was replaced wrongly, this may account for the first problem. > I'm not sure whether these are all the same thing -- and perhaps I > should finally move to cvs version of wl, though I've been reluctant to > do that with such an important piece of architecture. Well.. But you are using a development release of Emacs 24, aren't you ;) Due to its slow development cycle WL's cvs HEAD is pretty stable. Of course sometimes HEAD is in a unstable state but simply not pulling every new changeset would reduce the risk of breaking your setup. I would say: If you pull today, you have a pretty stable revision of WL. Best, -- David -- OpenPGP... 0x99ADB83B5A4478E6 Jabber.... dmjena@jabber.org Email..... dmaus@ictsoc.de
