Colonialism and Its Consequences:
Creating and Solving the Native Land Question

One of the preeminent historical geographers of his generation, Professor Harris is the author of many books and articles on settler colonialism and its impact on native societies. Editor of the first volume of the Historical Atlas of Canada, his most recent books - The Resettlement of British Columbia and Making Native Space - explore the nature of settler society in British Columbia and the interrelations in the province of settlers and native peoples. In books and essays, he has also sought to identify underlying patterns of society and culture in early Canada. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada and an Officer of the Order of Canada.
