The Burden of Children's Pain

Professor McGrath received his undergraduate education at the University of Saskatchewan and his doctorate from Queen's. He is the author of numerous books, including Help Yourself : A Treatment for Migraine Headaches; Making Cancer Less Painful: A Handbook for Parents; and Pain, Pain, Go Away: Helping Children With Pain. A renowned expert in the diagnosis and treatment of pain in children, Dr. McGrath has received many awards for his research from such organizations as Bristol Meyers Squibb, the Canadian Psychological Association, the Medical Research Council of Canada, and IWK Grace Health Centre. In 1995, he was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada.
