will be addressing the Vancouver Institute on October 3 at 8:15 p.m. in Lecture Hall No. 2 in the Woodward Instructional Resources Centre, University of British Columbia.

WWI, WWII, and Vietnam
A graduate of Pomona College and Harvard, Professor Fussell taught at Connecticut College and Rutgers before assuming his current appointment in 1983. He has received numerous honours in recognition of his outstanding written work, including the National Book Award, the National Book Critics Circle Award, and the Emerson Award. A prolific author, Dr. Fussell's works include: Thank God for the Atom Bomb and Other Essays, Killing in Verse and Prose and Other Essays, The Norton Book of Modern War (editor), and BAD: or the Downing of America.
