will be addressing the Vancouver Institute on November 14 at 8:15 p.m. in Lecture Hall No. 2 in the Woodward Instructional Resources Centre, University of British Columbia.

Timothy O'Riordan is a leading member of the Centre for Science and Economic Research on the Global Environment, one of the most prestigious research organizations in the world in the field of environmental policy. A prolific author, his book Environmentalism is widely used within university curricula. He has made major contributions in the areas of risk analysis and management, resource management, environmentalism as social movement, and the use of science in policy-making. He knows British Columbia well and is familiar with recent initiatives in sustainability, environment and natural resources management in this province.
