A Wasted Evening With Thomas King

Thomas King writes novels, short stories, poems, television and radio scripts, and children's books. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Utah in English/American Studies. He currently teaches Native literature and creative writing at the University of Guelph. Half of his copious free time is spent writing and performing in his CBC radio show ``The Dead Dog Cafe Comedy Hour.'' The other half is taken up with fine art photography. His first novel, Medicine River, won the Alberta Writer's Guild Best Novel Award and the Josephine Miles, Oakland PEN Award, while his second novel, Green Grass, Running Water, was short-listed for a Governor-General's award.
