Dr. Doris Kavanagh-Gray Lecture

Dr. Doris Kavanagh-Gray

will be addressing the Vancouver Institute on December 4 at 8:15 p.m. in Lecture Hall No. 2 in the Woodward Instructional Resources Centre, University of British Columbia.

Coronary Heart Disease: Does Gender Make a Difference?

Dr. Kavanagh-Gray received her M.D. from Ottawa University and became founder and head of St. Paul's Hospital Division of Cardiology in 1963. She was a Clinical Professor in UBC's Department of Medicine from 1981-1997. Dr. Kavanagh-Gray has received numerous honours in recognition of her outstanding achievements, and has on three separate occasions been nominated for the Vancouver YWCA "Women of Distinction" award. She has been invited to lecture in Shanghai and Beijing, and has been part of a Canadian medical advisory delegation to Poland.
