will be addressing the Vancouver Institute on October 14, 2000 at 8:15 p.m. in Lecture Hall No. 2 in the Woodward Instructional Resources Centre, University of British Columbia.

Bio/Graphics: The Role of Technology in the Art of Story-Telling

Prior to assuing her current post as Vice-President of Canada's newest university, Professor Mansell served as President of the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design. She has also been on faculty at the University of Calgary where she was Assistant Dean of Fine Arts and The University of Western Ontario where she was Chair of the Departent of Visual Arts. Professor Mansell maintains an active studio practice in the visual arts with an international reputation as a fine artist and lecturer in contemporary art theory and art education. She is currently a member of the Board of Directors of CANARIE and in 1996 was selected as Woman of the Year (Education & Research) in Halifax.
