The End of Development

John Stackhouse is The Globe and Mail's correspondent-at-large, covering a wide range of political, economic, and social issues at home and abroad. His first book, Out of Poverty and Into Something More Comfortable, will be published in April 2000 by Random House of Canada. From 1991 to 1999, he was the Globe and Mail's development issues reporter based in New Delhi. His work has won three national newspaper awards, one national magazine award, and an Amnesty International award.
